Sherree is a Sydney based Production Designer that works in film, television & commercials.
Sherree has recently finished principal photography in February 2019 of feature film Babyteeth directed by Shannon Murphy and produced by WhiteFalk Films; Alex White, as Production Designer starring Ben Mendelsohn (Animal Kingdom), Essie Davis (The Babadook), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects) & Toby Wallace (Romper Stomper).
Other recent feature film credits include, Production Designer on Standing Up For Sunny directed by Steve Vidler and produced by See Pictures; Jamie Hilton & Michael Pontin, Art Directed on Outlaws directed by Stephen McCullum and produced by See Pictures; out now on A24 direct in the US, Otherlife directed by Ben C. Lucas and produced by See Pictures & WBMC released on Netflix. From the many Short Film credits of Production Designer include, Dream Baby directed by Lucy Gaffy and produced by Pursekey Productions Kiki Dillon won the 2016 AACTA Award for Best Short Film, & won 2016 Best Film at Heart of Gold Festival, Highway directed by Vanessa Gazy official selection at over fifteen film festivals, including the BFI London Film Festival (2016), Warsaw Film Festival (2016).
After completing a Bachelor of Design at RMIT in Melbourne (2009), Sherree graduated from the Australian Film, TV & Radio School (AFTRS) in 2012 with a Graduate Diploma of Production Design. Sherree has received award nominations including the 2012 APDG Student Award at the Australian Production Design Guild Awards (APDG) for her work on the short film Corinna and the 2015 APDG Awards for Best Short Film for the period short film Foal. She was also invited to the annual Art Director Guild Awards (ADG) in Los Angeles for her work on Angelina Jolie's film, Unbroken, in 2015 by Universal Pictures where she supported the nomination of Jon Hutman for Best Production Design of a Period Film for 2014.
Sherree was given the opportunity through Genders Matters Incentive Program via Screen Australia to develop her skills in Production Design with an attachment on Wake In Fright (2-Part TV Series 2017) where she was mentored by Melinda Doring (The Sapphires, The Slap, Eye of the Storm) as Attachment Assistant Production Designer. Her work on numerous large-scale productions that include Unbroken 2014 (Universal), Top of the Lake - China Girl 2016 (BBC/Foxtel) has allowed Sherree to build a strong skill set and prepare her for the next challenge.
